Military Discount FAQs

Who is eligible for the Sportsman’s Military Discount?

Military service members, veterans of the US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, US Space Force, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS) or National Guard. Military Discount also extends to the registered service member’s respective spouse. Offer is non-transferable. Dishonorably discharged veterans aren’t eligible.

Are there any restrictions or exclusions?

The Military Discount cannot be applied to gift cards, service plans, warranties, licenses, or clearance items.

Where and how can I use my Military discount?

To use online, sign in to your Sportsman’s personal account on sportsmans.com, and the Military Discount will be automatically applied to eligible items during checkout. You must be both signed in and an Explorewards member in order for the Military Discount to apply. To use in store, give the cashier your phone number along with valid military photo identification, and the discount will be applied to your purchase. Acceptable forms of photo identification:

Do I need to verify my military status each time I make a purchase?

Online: You only need to verify your military status once. Once your account is set up, you may access the Military Discount for all eligible purchases. In-Store: You will be asked to provide valid photo identification to verify identity. Acceptable forms of photo identification:

Sportsman’s partners with a trusted third-party verification service provider ( ID.me) to verify the information you provide against private and secure data sources. ID.me provides identity proofing, authentication and group affiliation verification for more than 500 name brand retailers. Founded by a decorated Army Ranger, the company enables eligible members to verify their status quickly and securely.

How much can I save with my Military Discount?

The Military Discount applies 5% off the price of in-stock purchases made by eligible participants every day. There are no maximum annual discounts on how much qualified participants can save on eligible purchases.

How does my spouse become eligible to use my discount?

Spouses of registered service members are now eligible to complete military verification through our third-party verification provider, ID.me.
